On August 19, the Federal Revenue Service of Nigeria (FIRS) plans to submit a bill on taxation of the cryptocurrency industry to Parliament for approval by September. The executive chairperson of the tax agency, Zacch Adedeji, revealed the plan during a meeting with the Finance Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives of the National Assembly.
"Our plan is first to make laws to regulate this, and that's why we're here with the legislature, which will be the basis for the fee," Adedeji said.
