On August 19th, although the price of Bitcoin hashrate hovered below $44 per PH/s every day, the network hashrate began to climb again. Between August 9th and 17th, the hashrate increased from 612EH/s to 637EH/s, and increased by 25EH/s in 8 days. After the difficulty adjustment on August 14th, miners significantly improved their computing power. The network difficulty decreased from 90.66 trillion to 86.87 trillion, a decrease of 4.19%, easing the pressure caused by the 10.5% increase on July 31st. On the day of the difficulty adjustment, the hashrate was 624EH/s, which means that 13EH/s was added in 72 hours. The bitcoin price and low on-chain fees have caused the hashrate price to drop to an all-time low, falling to $35 per PH/s on August 5.
