Ripple posted on the X platform that Ripple discussed the latest progress of zero-knowledge proofs and university blockchain research plans with Hyunok Oh, a professor at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea. It is reported that in the financial sector, Professor Hyunok Oh's team has applied ZKP to enhance the anonymity and anti-money laundering measures of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). One of its laboratory projects, Harisa, is an efficient proof of membership designed to accelerate the generation of ZKP proofs.
