On August 16, according to Yonhap Infomax, South Korea's National Pension Fund Service (NPS) acquired 245,000 shares of Bitcoin development company MicroStrategy in the second quarter of this year. The purchase has been disclosed in a 13F filing with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). While the fund sold 23,956 shares of Coinbase in the second quarter of this year, this investment is another indirect investment in Bitcoin by the fund following the purchase of 282,673 shares of Coinbase in the third quarter of last year. It is worth noting that as of July 31, MicroStrategy held 226,500 bitcoins, making it the largest bitcoin corporate holder outside of spot bitcoin ETF issuers.
