Following Apple's decision to open up iPhone's NFC payments to third-party developers, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire predicted that Tap-to-Pay on iPhone using Circle's USDC stablecoin would be "coming soon."
However, he later clarified that Circle has nothing to do with Apple, nor does it have anything to do with Apple Pay, explaining that Apple's move to open up NFC will enable Web3 and crypto wallets to "call NFC for transactions."
