During the operation in Johor's Skolai district, the police shot dead four suspects and arrested 10 people. They are still hunting for three men and one woman. The victim, a Chinese man, was kidnapped after arriving in Malaysia in July this year. The family paid a ransom of US $1.20 million (about RMB 8.62 million) through virtual currency, and the two victims were eventually released. The police recovered about 373,000 US dollars (about RMB 2.68 million) in cash, as well as vehicles, watches and jewelry worth about 700,000 US dollars (about RMB 5.02 million).
