MetaMask launches debit card developed in partnership with Mastercard and Baanx

Crypto wallet MetaMask has launched a blockchain-based debit card jointly developed with payments giant MasterCard (MA) and crypto payments specialist Baanx. MetaMask cards will initially be available to users in European Union countries and the UK in the form of a "limited pilot of several thousand digital cards". The company plans a wider distribution later this year with a "full rollout" in the European Union and the UK, and more pilots in other regions in the coming quarters.
