On April 3rd, two White House sources said on Tuesday that US officials are open to ending the suspension of liquefied natural gas export approvals in order to seek congressional approval of Ukraine's aid package, but the White House hopes to make a decision after seeing the entire plan. Biden suspended approval of pending and future LNG export applications in late January due to protests from climate change activists against the industry. Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and Republican, Johnson, said on a television program on Sunday that lifting the decision to suspend export approvals may make it easier for Republicans to support a new Ukraine aid plan.
