Bitmex Chief Growth Officer Raphael Polansky said at X that there is an interesting fact: Bitcoin has been trading in the 25% range for the past 170 days (0.5 years). Since July, implied volatility in Bitcoin has skyrocketed due to some major industry and macroeconomic events, including fears of a U.S. recession, Trump's official support for Bitcoin, a Japanese yen rate hike, and healthy ETF inflows.
However, it is now mid-August, and bitcoin is still trading at around $60,000.
