Thailand's securities regulator has launched a cryptocurrency sandbox, which aims to "promote experimentation and innovative development to support the efficient provision of digital asset services in a real-world environment". The launch of the sandbox follows the SEC board's approval of the establishment of a cryptocurrency sandbox in March, followed by a public hearing in May. The SEC noted that the sandbox applies to six categories of industry players: digital asset exchanges, brokers, dealers, fund managers, advisors, and custodial wallet providers.
