The daily amount of ETH destroyed on the Ethereum network has fallen to a low point for the year. As of press time, the basic fee of the network hovers between 1 and 2gwei, the lowest in several years, which in turn affects the issuance of ETH. Only 210 ETH was destroyed last Saturday due to lower gas fees. By contrast, on August 5, when gas fees reached about 100gwei, the daily destruction volume soared to 5,000 ETH.
