On August 12, the scalable blockchain MultiversX has launched MultiversX Snap on MetaMask, providing users with access to its ecosystem and increased security through two-factor authentication (2FA).
"MetaMask Snaps is a third-party audited plugin that provides extended wallet functionality," the MultiversX team said. "This integration embeds 2FA logic into the sharding protocol, making it compatible with all ecosystem apps and wallets and now accessible to MetaMask users. MultiversX's on-chain 2FA, called Guardians, provides enhanced security without complicating the user experience, leveraging tools such as Google Authenticator."
