8月12日消息，韩国 Wacon 公司 CEO Byun Young-oh 因涉嫌以太坊相关加密货币诈骗被捕。首尔中央地方检察厅将以诈骗罪起诉 Byun 和另一名嫌疑人 Yeom。Wacon 运营的 MainEthernet 钱包服务于 2023 年夏季出现提现困难。检方认为这是一个价值数千亿韩元的多层次营销诈骗计划，受害者约 500 人，主要为老年人。Byun 曾承诺高达 45% 到 50% 的投资回报，但否认了庞氏骗局指控。
