Multiple shipping companies have raised sea freight rates: up to $2000

Jinshi Futures reported on April 2nd that several shipping companies have recently issued notices to raise sea freight rates, with the highest increase reaching $2000, a nearly 70% increase compared to the current freight rate. According to a notice issued by COSCO Shipping Container Transport Co., Ltd., from April 1st to April 14th this year, the sea freight prices from the Far East (including the eastern Asian region including China) to the United States and Canada will increase significantly, with an increase of $1000-2000. Based on the current average freight rate of approximately $3000 between China and the United States, the increase is close to 70%.
