On August 7, according to Decrypt, the venues of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and dozens of museum shops in France were hit by cyber attacks, and hackers demanded cryptocurrency ransom payments. The hackers used the data processing systems of about 40 tourist attractions to collect sensitive financial data, including the Grand Palais Museum. The French Anti-Cybercrime Brigade (BL2C) is investigating the attack.
