Wong Chun-shek, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong, suggested that the Hong Kong government speed up the construction of a digital identity system and standards based on Hong Kong residents, and gradually establish a set of applications for wider adoption of digital identity between public and private institutions, so as to promote wide adoption by all walks of life, such as the inclusion of digital identity in smart convenient platforms. The Hong Kong government needs to strike a balance between the supervision and development of Web 3.0, and proposes to use Web 3.0 technology to distribute electronic consumption coupons to tourists, because the cost of issuing consumption coupons using Web 3.0 platform transactions is only 0.15/1000 of the total, and the transaction cost is much cheaper than that of traditional banking.
