The U.S. CFTC is investigating cryptocurrency fraud that may have been carried out by unknown individuals, potentially involving 15 tokens, including memecoin BEN.
The agency issued a subpoena on July 16 to Hit Network, a crypto-focused media company that previously spoke for Ben Armstrong, nicknamed "BitBoy." The subpoena demanded information about trading activity and digital wallets for 15 tokens. The subpoena said it was part of an investigation into individuals engaged in digital currency fraud and related illegal practices.
