On August 1 local time, the US Court of Appeals in New York rejected former US President Donald Trump's request to lift the gag order in his "hush money" case. In March this year, the judge presiding over Trump's "hush money" case, Juan Melchan, issued a gag order against Trump, prohibiting him from attacking witnesses, prosecutors and jurors in the case. In June, the US New York judge partially lifted the gag order. The revised order allows Trump to speak publicly about witnesses in the case, but comments on individual prosecutors and others involved are still limited.
