According to Shaanxi police reports, Shaanxi Yulin Jingbian County Public Security Bureau successfully cracked an investment in virtual currency fraud case, arresting four alleged offenders, involving a value of 410,000 yuan.
On July 16, 2024, the victim Wang reported to the police that he had been defrauded of RMB 410,000 by investing in virtual currency online. After receiving the police, the Criminal Investigation Brigade immediately launched an investigation into the case. Through analysis and judgment, visits and investigations, the identity information and footholds of the four alleged offenders were finally determined. On July 23, the investigation police successfully arrested the alleged offenders Zhai and Li in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. On July 25, the alleged offenders Wang and Li were arrested in Kaifeng City, Henan Province.
After investigation, in July 2024, when the victim Wang was chatting with others online, he was recommended to invest in virtual coins on an APP to make money. The other party said that he knew about the loopholes in the APP system, and the investment was steady. Under the temptation of high returns, Wang accumulated 410,000 yuan in an APP investment.
In July 4th, the alleged offender Zhai to earn virtual currency realization profit, together with Wang, Li, Li Moumou drove to Jingbian County, to sell virtual currency and Wang transactions, will be 410,000 yuan in cash, profit from 50,000 yuan.
At present, the alleged offenders Zhai, Wang, Li and Li have been detained for fraud according to law, and the case is under further trial.
