On July 31st, according to the Eclipse Foundation announcement, the Eclipse mainnet is now open to developers. Eclipse is the first SVM L2 on Ethereum, combining the speed of Solana with the liquidity of Ethereum. The Eclipse Foundation invites developers to deploy dApps and participate in the Total Eclipse Challenge Hackathon from August 7th to August 21st.
The Hackathon will feature five unique tracks: DeFi, Gaming, Consumption, Memecoin, and Infrastructure, with a total prize pool of nearly $50,000. The Eclipse mainnet provides developers with a seamless deployment and fast technical support environment, allowing developers to access RPC through documentation and bridge ETH using the CLI. In the future, Eclipse plans to transition to a higher-stage mainnet and enable at least withdrawals before opening to the public.
