Vitalik: We should get rid of the "one-sided ability trap" and balance technical ability with multiple perspectives

Vitalik Buterin said in an X post that he had introduced the concept of a "one-sided capability trap" in a commentary on the article "Bitcoin Block Size Wars". Vitalik believes that "this pattern exists in many different types of environments. We should better understand how to get out of this trap."
The "one-sided ability trap" describes a situation in which one party monopolizes all the capable people and uses them to promote a narrow and biased view, while the other party, while rightly recognizing the problem, is too focused on opposing the status quo, rather than developing its own technical capabilities to implement its own views.
