SlowMist founder Cosine shared the experience of Twitter user @0xMaxLin who suffered a job search scam on the X platform, warning the community to be on the lookout for fake video conferencing software, which is used to trick potential victims into downloading malicious applications and stealing crypto assets. Maxlin.eth reported a job search scam in which the scammer, pretending to be from infrastructure development company xLabs, approached the victim through Telegram to induce them to download malicious software. The scammer used Zoom to conduct fake interviews and lower the victim's vigilance in the name of offering a marketing specialist position. Towards the end of the interview, the scammer asked the user to download the conferencing software called Meetly. After installation, the software malfunctioned and the end user discovered that the link was a scam website. The user promptly transferred the assets to other wallets, successfully avoiding the potential risk of theft
