A New York Times and Siena College poll of 1,142 registered voters nationwide by telephone July 22-24 showed Trump and Harris at 48 percent and 47 percent, respectively, with a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percentage points.
A previous poll conducted in early July had Biden trailing Trump by 6 percentage points.
