Crypto Custodian Hex Trust Receives Principle Approval for MPI License in Singapore

Institutional cryptocurrency custodian Hex Trust has received approval-in-principle for a Major Payments Institution (MPI) license in Singapore as it seeks to expand its operations there. In a statement, the company said the Monetary Authority of Singapore has granted it preliminary approval for an MPI license, which will allow it to offer "digital payment token services" in Singapore, "i.e. custody of DPT and over the counter".
