At a hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on July 22 local time, Antonia Perez Hernandez and Nestor Nunez pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit wire fraud in connection with the Forcount scheme. Hernandez, Nunez and others allegedly stole $8.40 million from primarily Spanish-speaking investors between 2017 and 2021 by promoting cryptocurrency trading and mining on Forcount, promising huge returns.
