According to a recent interview with Bloomberg, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expects the company to settle its years-long lawsuit with the Securities Exchange Commission "very soon." The price of XRP has risen in recent weeks amid speculation that a settlement could be announced next week following a closed-door meeting of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to analytics firm Santiment, the level of activity in the Ripple ledger and the creation of new addresses also reached their highest levels since March.
