On July 16, Cosmos Hub posted on X that the community had previously voted to introduce the paid marketplace module (Proposition 842) into Cosmos Hub.
The team has now completed the integration, as part of the Gaia v18 release, which will provide an adaptive fee marketplace and also support ATOM destruction. The new fee marketplace mechanism will only start adjusting fees when block capacity usage exceeds 50%. In simple terms, fees will only increase when block usage exceeds 15 million gas units.
