Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance is a potential crypto-friendly, and given his previous efforts to enact clearer legislation, the election of the Hillbilly Elegy author and venture capitalist will benefit the crypto industry.
According to Politico, J.D. Vance recently drafted a bill that would reform the way digital assets are regulated in the United States, which sources say would be more crypto-friendly than a bill passed by the House of Representatives in June.
It is reported that, like the House bill, Vance's plan would overhaul the way the SEC and CFTC regulate the cryptocurrency market, which is a major priority for cryptocurrency companies and investors dissatisfied with current policies in Washington.
Vance did not disclose the purchase or sale of any cryptocurrency in its recent Senate financial disclosure.
