Bitcoin mining company Gryphon Digital Mining has submitted a pre motion letter to the Southern District Court of New York, requesting permission to file a preliminary seizure motion to ensure that Sphere 3D has recently received $10 million in equity gains from the settlement related to the bankruptcy exit of Core Scientific. Gryphon Digital Mining hopes to ensure that this funds can be used to fulfill any judgments that may be received due to the alleged breach of contract by Sphere 3D, with a minimum penalty of $30 million for breach of contract by Sphere 3D.
