OpenAI has announced a partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), the laboratory that built the atomic bomb, to explore the application of AI in biological science research.
The collaboration will evaluate GPT-4o applications in biosecurity evaluation and real-time voice systems to support bioscience research. LANL is currently focused on vaccine development, sustainable biotechnology and biological threat detection.
