US stocks close: Apple hits new high, NIU rises 16%

U.S. stocks closed Monday with the Dow initially down 0.08 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.1 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.28 percent. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 1.8 percent and Apple rose 0.65 percent to record close highs. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon closed down 1 percent, Alibaba (BABA. N) fell 1.4 percent, Lufax (LU. N) fell 14 percent, XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) fell nearly 6 percent and NIU (NIU. O) rose 16 percent.
