Taiwan's central bank has built a prototype platform for a potential central bank digital currency (CBDC). As the central bank continues to research and develop a CBDC, they plan to hold multiple hearings and forums over the next year. According to a report by the semi-official Central News Agency on Sunday, President Yang Jinlong of Taiwan's central bank said in a research note that the central bank has not yet set a fixed timetable for issuing a CBDC.
