Zhang Yingchun, executive vice governor of Hunan Province, introduced that at 16:00 on July 5th, there was a dangerous situation of piping at the first-line embankment of Dongting Lake in Tuanzhou, Huarong County, Hunan Province. At 17:48, the embankment burst after the emergency blockade failed. On the afternoon of the 6th, the blockade and closure work began to advance. It is expected to be completed before 12:00 on July 9th.
