Schroders Capital has partnered with Hanover Re to launch a blockchain ILS pilot that aims to enhance the way insurance-linked securities (ILS) investments are invested and managed. It is reported that Schroders Capital joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore's "Guardian Program" last year and participated in the first sterling digital bond issued by the European Investment Bank. This time, in partnership with Hanover Re, the program has been tested internally by Schroders and successfully tokenized reinsurance contracts and traded on a public blockchain platform using smart contracts.
