On March 29th, the Nikkei 225 Index reached 40369.44 points at the end of the 2023 fiscal year, an increase of over 12000 points from the previous fiscal year, marking the largest fiscal year increase in history, with a first quarter increase of 20.63% and the largest quarterly increase in history. After breaking through the level of Japan's foam economy in 1989 on February 22, the index hit a record high in this quarter. The factors supporting the rebound in stock prices include improved corporate governance, foreign buying brought about by the weakening yen, and expectations that the Bank of Japan will adhere to a loose monetary policy.
