Nvidia may be sued by French regulators for alleged antitrust behavior

France's antitrust regulator is preparing to charge NVIDIA with anti-competitive behaviour, making it the first law enforcement agency to do so, according to people familiar with the matter. NVIDIA was the target of a raid on the graphics card industry in September that sources said targeted NVIDIA. Demand for chips from the world's largest maker of artificial intelligence and computer graphics chips surged after the release of ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence app, late last year, triggering regulatory scrutiny on both sides of the Atlantic.
