At the 15th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (known as the "Summer Davos Forum"), Kenzai Yoshiura, Managing Director of Mizuho Bank and President of Mizuho China, said in an interview with the Daily Economic News that digital currencies and blockchain technologies are very promising areas, but these technologies will take time to popularize and develop because (defined as) money needs to be applied to real economic scenarios, not just a few investments can decide. Therefore, before this goal is achieved, these technologies will first need time to wait for them to become more popular among the population.
