据港媒大公报披露，香港投资虚拟资产不会被征收资产增值税，这对全球投资者来说是十分吸引的一点，例如在日本及澳洲，虽然比香港更早大力拓展虚拟资产市场，但日本及澳洲都需要缴交资产增值税，有关税项会被纳入综合税率计算，在日本及澳洲的综合税率分别可高达50%及40%，对投资者而言，投资回报当然是最主要的考虑因素，而香港的低税制将吸引到更多国际投资者进驻香港。
