Three departments: increase the duty-free allowance for baggage carried by residents entering Hong Kong and Macao

Three departments: For resident passengers who enter from Hong Kong and Macau and are over 18 years old, the total value of personal reasonable self-use luggage obtained overseas shall be released tax-free within 12,000 yuan (including 12,000 yuan). At the same time, at the port where there are duty-free entry shops, the above-mentioned passengers are allowed to buy a certain amount of duty-free goods in the duty-free entry shops at the port, together with the total value of personal reasonable self-use luggage obtained overseas within 15,000 yuan (including 15,000 yuan). The above-mentioned measures will be implemented at six ports including Luohu, Futian, Shenzhen Bay, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Rail West Kowloon Station, Gongbei, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Highway from July 1, 2024; from August 1, 2024, they will be extended to all entry ports (except Hengqin "first-line" port).
