Paradigm advised the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on cryptoasset market abuse prevention. They noted that ESMA should avoid misapplying the concept of traditional financial marekt to the underlying blockchain level when dealing with maximum extractable value (MEV), which could lead to inconsistencies and unintended consequences. Paradigm called on ESMA to better understand MEV and support innovative tools to address potential abuse risks.
