The Eigen Foundation has allocated the first strategic grant to the Celo Foundation to support the use of EigenDA in Celo Layer 2.
cLabs first proposed migrating Celo from EVM-compatible L1 at EthCC last July and recommended EigenDA. Moving to L2 with EigenDA helps avoid the high costs associated with native Ethereum storage to maintain Celo's extremely low transaction fees.
