Vitalik: With the decrease in L2 transaction costs, Ethereum has no reason not to be widely adopted

With the upgrade of Ethereum Denchun and the introduction of Blobs, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin shared his insights on the future direction of Ethereum expansion. Vitalik emphasized the shift in Ethereum expansion from basic expansion work to centralized and gradual enhancement. Vitalik also stated that developers will shift their focus to the application layer. Ethereum will maintain a roadmap centered around L2, and applications will migrate from L1 to L2 to benefit from faster and more cost-effective transactions. An upcoming upgrade is Data Availability Sampling (DAS), aimed at increasing the data space of each slot to 16 MB. Progressive expansion improvements include gradually increasing blob capacity, improving data compression, and EIP-7623 (aimed at reducing maximum block size).
