On June 25th, the official governance forum revealed that the Aave community has launched a new proposal to add dlcBTC to Aave V3 on Ethereum and Arbitrum.
DlcBTC is a decentralized encapsulation of bitcoin on the Ethereum chain, enabling bitcoin holders to participate in the DeFi protocol while retaining full ownership of their assets. It uses discrete log contracts (DLCs) for secure cross-chain transactions, ensuring trustless and decentralized asset management.
