Lee Seok-woo, CEO of Dunamu, has been re-appointed as Chairperson of the Digital Asset Exchange Association (DAXA). Daksa is the exchange advisory body of five major virtual asset exchanges (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit and Gopax), and currently dominates the self-regulation of the virtual asset market. Industry sources revealed on the 25th that CEO Seok-Woo Lee has decided to continue as Chairperson of Daksa until the end of this year.
Daksa member companies held a board meeting this morning and unanimously confirmed their contract renewal plans.
Since the member companies initially decided to take on the chairpersonship sequentially, it was expected that the chairperson would be Jaewon Lee, CEO of Bithumb. However, since there are still many tasks ahead of the implementation of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act in July, it was decided that CEO Lee, who served as the first chairperson when Docsa was launched two years ago, would continue to serve as the chairperson to ensure the stability of the board.
