On-chain detective ZachXBT said in a post on X that MEV engineer Robert Robb has recently pleaded guilty to his MEV bot investment fraud scheme and now faces up to 20 years in prison.
ZachXBT published an article in December 2023 detailing more than 11 victimized investors and exposing Robert Robb's criminal background.
The victim, who was arrested in Las Vegas in March, found that after receiving money from investors in his Coinbase account, Robb spent it on personal expenses such as sports tickets, luxury cars and travel.
Last December, ZachXBT posted on the X platform that MEV engineer Robert Robb had raised at least $1.20 million from 11 people earlier that year for various MEV bots (independent of Rampage), and claimed that these bots would be put into use soon. But after initially agreeing to return the money due to numerous launch delays, he made various excuses, including health issues, exchange issues, extortion and family issues, to repeatedly delay the refund.
