Two years ago, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) estimated that the market size of tokenized assets would reach $16 trillion by 2030. However, the market failed to reach the growth rate predicted for 2024. Yesterday, McKinsey & Company released a forecast that the market size of tokenized assets will be less than $2 trillion by 2030, in the range of $1 to $4 trillion. In contrast, Bernstein's forecast last year was that the market size of tokenized assets would reach $5 trillion by 2028, and Citibank's forecast was that the market size of tokenized assets would reach the same number by 2030.
