Coinbase officials posted on social media that the platform became the first Solana ETP custodian in North America, and as part of a partnership with 3iQ Digital, 3iQ Corp plans to use Coinbase's institutional custody infrastructure to bring Solana staking to the ETP space in Canada.
Previously, 3iQ announced earlier today that it has filed a preliminary prospectus for the initial public offering of Solana Fund (QSOL) in Canada. If approved by applicable regulators, the fund will become the first Solana ETP (exchange-traded product) to be listed in North America.
Coinbase has become the first Solana ETP custodian in North America and plans to introduce Solana staking into ETPs.
