LayerZero is launching a new claim mechanism called "Proof of Donation," which will donate up to $18.50 million to Protocol Guild, a collective funding mechanism for developers working on Ethereum's Tier 1 R & D.
To claim ZRO, users must donate $0.10 of USDC, USDT, or native ETH for each ZRO. This small donation will go directly to Protocol Guild. Donations received by Protocol Guild will be honored over four years under Protocol Guild's on-chain contract. The LayerZero Foundation will match all donations up to a maximum of $10 million.
