2024-06-19 19:48:36
The High Court of Nigeria has dismissed the case of Nadeem Anjarwalla, Binance's regional manager, for lack of diligent prosecution. Anjarwalla has accused the Nigerian government of violating his fundamental rights in detaining and seizing his passport. Anjarwalla's lawyer has applied to withdraw his representation so that he can hire a new lawyer. Anjarwalla has now fled to Kenya and failed to appear in court. Nigeria is seeking his extradition. Meanwhile, Tigran Gambaryan, Binance's head of financial crime compliance, has also been detained on similar charges and has filed a separate case against the NSA and EFCC, which is scheduled for July 9.
