Zodia Custody, a digital asset custodian founded by Standard Chartered, has announced that National Australia Bank has become an investor through NAB Ventures. Northern Trust is said to be a minority investor, followed by Japanese SBI Holdings leading a $36 million round, bringing the total to $68 million. Last year Zodia Custody announced that it had opened an office in Australia, with plans to serve local institutional clients. About 26% of consumers have digital asset investments. At the time Zodia Custody signed asset manager DigitalX as its first Australian client, while NAB was working on a proof-of-concept.
